Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver receives $124,000 Helping Hands® grant from The Allstate Foundation

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver recently received a $124,000 Helping Hands in the Community grant from The Allstate Foundation. The grant is a result of Allstate’s annual partnership with the organization, and the work of 104 agency owners and staff participating in a one day volunteer event on April 15. This donation will help further Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver’s efforts to empower Denver’s youth to graduate from high school with a plan for college or a career, contribute to their community and live a healthy life.

More than 100 Denver Allstate agents and their families rolled up their sleeves on April 15th to complete various cleaning and renovation projects at the Wilfley, Suncor and Vickers Boys & Girls Clubs to ensure Club members have a clean, safe environment in which to learn, play and engage.

“The important work we do wouldn’t be possible without the help of generous partners such as The Allstate Foundation,” said Kendall Córdova, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver’s Chief Development Officer. “The Allstate Foundation’s commitment through financial support and volunteer service demonstrates their incredible dedication to the communities where they live and work. It was incredible to see over 100 agents roll up their sleeves and spend their Saturday making an impactful difference for the thousands of kids who come to our Clubs each day. I applaud Allstate for creating a culture of giving back to improve the lives of kids and communities and I thank them for choosing Boys & Girls Clubs as their partner in this endeavor.”

The grant is part of The Allstate Foundation Helping Hands in the Community program. Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is one of thousands of organizations this year to receive Helping Hands in the Community grants secured by Allstate agency owners and financial specialists on behalf of the nonprofits where they volunteer.
