Charles Schwab has been one of our most committed and engaged corporate partners for nearly 20 years. In 2018, Charles Schwab was the Presenting Sponsor for our inaugural LILY Network Luncheon. Casey Cortese, Managing Director of the Charles Schwab Foundation, spoke at the luncheon about the importance of influential women in the community being committed to inspiring, empowering, and encouraging girls to become the next generation of leaders. Charles Schwab also volunteered their time and talents through the company’s annual Pro-Bono Challenge to help with the development and creation of the LILY Network. We are honored that our girls have the support and dedication of Charles Schwab as they build bright futures for themselves.
Charles Schwab is also a passionate advocate for financial education, for both youth and adults, and are the reason that BGCMD has been able to offer the “Money Matters: Make it Count” program to our Club members. This program promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13 to 18. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start small businesses and pay for college. Money Matters plays a critical role in helping teens understand how making smart choices related to their finances can help them achieve their life goals.
Join a community of companies who believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to reach their greatest potential.
Not only does Charles Schwab care about the importance of spreading financial education, they are invested in the day-to-day experience of our Club members. Over the years, they have volunteered in many “Scrub a Club” days and helped out greatly in preparing Gates Camp for the summer. The pride our Club members feel when they enter such well-maintained and cared for spaces is tangible. The “Schwabies” are such a great help each time they come into our Clubs and we can’t wait to have them back again in the future.
We are so appreciative of Charles Schwab’s extraordinary support through volunteerism, educational programs, and financial contributions from not just the company but all of their employees.
