Kroenke Sports Charities and Denver Nuggets Name Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver as Signature Community Partner
Denver, CO – October 8, 2024 – Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is thrilled to announce a significant partnership with Kroenke Sports Charities and the Denver Nuggets. On October 10, 2024, Kroenke Sports Charities will officially name Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver as one of their Signature Community Partners, with the Denver Nuggets committing to a three-year Clubhouse Sponsorship of the Arthur E. Johnson Boys & Girls Club.

The event will feature the unveiling of a new Clubhouse Sponsor Banner and scoreboard provided by Kroenke Sports Charities, symbolizing their commitment to youth development and community engagement.
Following the announcement, at 5:00 p.m., selected Club members will participate in a special NBA/Jr. WNBA Week youth basketball clinic. Led by Calvin Myers and the Denver Nuggets Basketball Academy, this clinic underscores the importance of youth basketball in developing essential life skills both on and off the court.

"Sports programs at our Clubs play a crucial role in youth development, fostering teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyles. The support from Kroenke Sports Charities and the Denver Nuggets will enhance our ability to provide these vital experiences. By improving our facilities and offering unique opportunities like the basketball clinic, we're not just teaching sports skills – we're building character, confidence, and a sense of community among our young members."
“Kroenke Sports Charities works to improve lives through the spirit and power of sports,” said Mike Neary, KSC Board Chair. “The Nuggets have partnered with Boys & Girls Club since the Team moved to the NBA in 1967. On a daily basis, hundreds of youth visit Johnson Boys & Girls Club to learn, play, and meet new friends and mentors. We are proud to make Arthur E. Johnson Club a Signature Community Partner.”
The event will include:
- A ceremonial unveiling of the Clubhouse Sponsor Banner
- An appearance by SuperMascot Rocky, Ambassadors, and Denver Nuggets Dancers
- Youth basketball clinic led by Calvin Myers and the Denver Nuggets Basketball Academy
- Prizes for clinic participants
Representatives from Kroenke Sports Charities, Denver Nuggets Academy staff, and other special guests will be in attendance to celebrate this momentous occasion.
This partnership kickoff event aligns with Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Week, an annual league-wide celebration highlighting the positive impact of youth basketball on young athletes' development. The week runs from October 12-18, 2024, featuring various youth-focused events and activations across the nation.
