At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Club members compete for Youth of the Year at Club and City levels in three age categories: 10-13, 14-15 (Juniors), and 16-18 (Seniors). Today, we celebrate David and Sir-Adam, the two winners in this year’s 10-13 category!
10-13 Age Group Winner (Group 1): David S.
David has been a Club member for three years and is a current member at Tennyson Knolls Boys & Girls Club. David’s favorite part about the Club is the many opportunities and activities at the Club. David has learned many valuable lessons at the Club and wants to set a good example for younger Club members.
“In the Club, I've learned about being kind and considering other people's feelings before you say or do something.”
10-13 Age Group Winner (Group 2): Sir-Adam M.
Sir-Adam has been a Jack A. Vickers Club member for eight years. Sir-Adam's favorite thing about the Club is the strong community. Growing up in the Club has allowed Sir-Adam to learn and develop alongside Club members and welcome new members.
“The biggest lesson I have learned at the Club is that I am accepted here, and it is okay to be me.”
We are incredibly proud of David and Sir-Adam, and we can’t wait for you to meet them at our 2024 Gala: Infinite Possibilities this April!
David is an amazing person, I go to school and boys and girls club with him and he is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. There is nothing about him that would you not like him.
