Nashara has been a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver for the past 11 years. At the Club, Nashara has shown leadership and become a role model for other Club members. Nashara's involvement in leadership programs like Torch Club and Keystone Club, as well as various community initiatives such as Cherish, a girl's mentoring program, and RISE, focusing on social injustice, equipped her with the skills and confidence to navigate life's uncertainties and advocate for social change. For the past four years, Nashara has also been the co-project manager for March for Peace, a 5K that brings members of the Montbello neighborhood together in the spirit of community, peace, and a bright future. The March for Peace has become an annual event for hundreds of community members.
The Club has not only provided Nashara with a supportive community and invaluable life skills but has also empowered her to dream big and embrace her journey with confidence and resilience.
