Opening Doors to Infinite Possibilities

Meet Ziba, Zokyah, and Navaha, Club members at J. Churchill Owen Boys & Girls Club. They each exemplify strength, wisdom, and perseverance. Through their unique journeys at J. Churchill Owen Boys & Girls Club, they have learned that anything is possible.

Ziba, age 9

“I went to the art room and the teacher helped me know I could draw anything, and he gave me a possibility,” says Ziba. “I learned reading, how to draw better, and I learned how to believe in myself.”

Zokyah, age 12

“The Club is my launching pad because it taught me to never stop giving up,” shares Zokyah. “Because of the Club, I’ve learned how to be a better big sister, how to be a role model to my younger siblings.”

Navaha, age 18

“I never thought I’d be able to go rock climbing, snowboarding, win a championship, or coach. The Club makes it feel like everything is possible,” says Navaha. “There are so many supportive people that I know I can rely on. I know I can talk to anyone about anything if I really need to. They’ve helped me achieve championships, my first-year coaching, pass my classes when I was struggling. They pushed me to do a lot of things, and I am glad they did because I’ve succeeded in them. I’d say the Club is a perfect place. I call the Club home.”

Boys & Girls Club members know they can reach infinite possibilities no matter their age. We can all learn from the inspiring stories shared by Ziba, Zokyah, and Navaha

Their journeys remind us that with determination and support, any dream is within reach.
