Providing Safe and Inclusive Spaces for Youth Engagement and Growth
Denver, CO (July 26, 2023) - Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is pleased to announce an expansion to new Club sites through our strategic partnership with Westminster Public Schools (WPS). This fall, we will open three brand new Boys & Girls Clubs, located at Sunset Ridge School, Tennyson Knolls Preparatory School, and Josephine Hodgkins Leadership Academy.
The continued collaboration between Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and WPS is to thank for this significant milestone in providing comprehensive out-of-school resources and opportunities to youth in Adams County. By leveraging the strengths of both organizations, this partnership aims to equitably enhance educational experiences and positive outcomes for kids and teens in Adams County communities.
"We are excited to expand our collaboration with WPS in order to extend our reach and provide the invaluable benefits of Boys & Girls Clubs to a greater number of kids," expressed Erin Porteous, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. "Through the integration of our collective resources and expertise, we aim to grow a dynamic alliance that will undeniably uplift the lives of numerous young people, leaving a lasting positive impact."
The new Sunset Ridge Boys & Girls Club, Tennyson Knolls Boys & Girls Club, and Josephine Hodgkins Boys & Girls Club will provide safe, inclusive, affordable spaces where kids and teens can engage in a wide range of programs and experiences. From academic support to sports, arts, and leadership development. Club members will have access to a diverse array of opportunities that promote their overall well-being and personal growth.

About WPS Schools
Westminster Public Schools prides itself on offering a learning environment Where Education is Personal. That means that every child’s education is built around what works best for the individual student and incorporates our Competency Based System (CBS) where students advance to the next learning level only when they have shown mastery, or understanding, of a learning topic. The WPS philosophy is that the most important day in a student’s academic career is the day AFTER graduation.
