Chelsea Poest
Gates Camp Manager at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver
We are delighted to shine a spotlight on Chelsea Poest, our Gates Camp Manager! Chelsea’s journey with Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver began in 2022 as a Program Manager at KIPP Green Valley Ranch Boys & Girls Club. Since then, Chelsea transitioned to serving as a Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator before assuming her current position as Gates Camp Manager.
Chelsea brings years of experience working with youth and camp programming. Her love for the outdoors and her ability to create meaningful connections through camp programming has made a profound impact on Club members' experiences at Gates Camp, a summer camp nestled in the mountains of Colorado. Gates Camp offers Club members a chance to step out of their comfort zones, discover all that the outdoors has to offer, and create lasting memories.
As Gates Camp Manager, Chelsea helps create a sanctuary where members and staff can escape from everyday life, learn new things, and be reminded that the outdoors is for everyone to enjoy. She recognizes that Gates Camp holds a special place in the hearts of many Club members. For some, it marks their first visit to the mountains, and once they experience its beauty, it becomes a highly anticipated trip each year.
Chelsea finds great joy in witnessing the awe and wonder from Club members as they arrive at Gates Camp. As each member disembarks from the bus to discover the captivating world of the great outdoors, Chelsea ensures that every young explorer can try something new, conquer their fears, or master a new skill. At the end of each day, she treasures the small yet meaningful moments of positivity, engaging conversations, and shared laughter with Club members.
“I enjoy working at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver because of the endless opportunities to build connections with Club members, staff, families, and communities.”
