Reading opens doors to new worlds, big ideas, and endless possibilities! Our reading programs are where the magic happens. From a kindergartener sounding out their first words to a middle schooler diving into a new series, and a teen finding inspiration in a biography, each moment of discovery shapes futures and opens doors of opportunity.
As part of our celebration of Read Across America Day, we’re proud to recognize the incredible reading achievements of our Club members. This past fall, our Club members read an astounding 22,298 books, which is a 51% increase from the 14,742 books read in fall 2023. Leading the charge, members at Robert M. Shopneck Boys & Girls Club read the most, with 156 kids completing an impressive 2,938 books.
Each book represents a new adventure, a world explored, and a dream sparked. To honor our members’ love for reading, we’re highlighting some of their favorite books! Below, you'll find the top book series chosen by our Club members at Robert M. Shopneck Boys & Girls Club.
